Rithvik works closely with organisations to foster greater awareness and appreciation for the performing arts. Here are some of the initiatives Rithvik has been involved in over the years.
ArtMove
Rithvik Raja founded ArtMove to make art accessible by bringing it into public spaces, transcending traditional boundaries. The initiative fosters collaboration and highlights the universal appeal of diverse art forms. ArtMove also supports emerging artists through lectures and academic platforms. Rithvik’s previous initiatives, Avartana and Madrasika, now under this larger umbrella, further extend ArtMove’s impact, enriching the cultural landscape and nurturing new talent.
YACM
Rithvik Raja played a key role in promoting Carnatic music among youth as President of YACM (Youth Association for Classical Music) from 2008 to 2012. He created a platform fostering deep connections to the art form through workshops, concerts, and lecture-demonstrations. Under his leadership, YACM became a hub for innovation, offering opportunities for young musicians to grow, contributing significantly to the rise of many emerging artists in the Carnatic ecosystem.
Svanubhava
Founded in 2008, Svanubhava is a transformative festival that connects students with leading artists, evolving into a platform for arts appreciation and audience development. It fosters inter-art collaborations and provides students rare opportunities to engage with top artists. With over 100 performances across 10 cities, Svanubhava nurtures future generations, instilling pride and ownership while contributing to India’s vibrant performing arts scene.
December Season Portal
In 2009, T.M. Krishna and a group of students launched theDecemberSeason.com, a pioneering platform providing easy access to information about the Chennai December Season, the world’s largest classical music festival. In 2010, Rithvik co-founded Kutcheris.com, expanding the initiative. As a key collaborator, he guided its development until 2012, offering comprehensive concert details, reviews, venue information, and more, making the December Season more accessible and enriching the cultural landscape for a global audience.
